Brooke had her one year check up yesterday.
She weighed in at 20 lbs. even (25th percentile)
and was 29.75 inches long (75th percentile)
The doctor said it's quite common for overly active children, such as Brooke, to taper off in their weight once they start walking. All in all, Brooke is a healthy girl and is meeting all her milestones.
Yesterday was Brooke's first birthday. We had a small birthday party at our house with some of the neighborhood kids.

I went all out with the Princess cake. (Mostly, I was just too lazy to make my own cake).

Brooke liked the green frosting best. She didn't do much eating, though!

Look at those teeth!
All the girls had fun playing with Brooke's new toys.

Happy Birthday, Brooke!

Brooke's new favorite food is grapes. I mistakenly let her get into the fridge with the grapes on the bottom shelf. On the plus side, she did stay out of my hair for a while!

Watch out Grandma, there's a new babysitter in town! And yes, it comes in the form of a basket that Brooke voluntarily climbs into.

Now that Brooke can walk, she follows me around the house and "helps" out with all the chores.
